Pros & Cons

What I liked

  • The subscription and cancellation processes are smooth and professional.
  • Good-looking and intuitive user interface.
  • The chat is truly unfiltered without security checks and guardrails.

What I didn't like

  • The app is completely missing the ability to generate videos.
  • Girls are not looking the same across multiple images.
  • The overall character library is quite small.

Quick verdict

Is HeraHaven Worth It?

HeraHaven feels like an abandoned mall. You can get in, but the shops are mostly empty, and nothing works quite right. It has the basic structure of an AI girlfriend app, but every core feature, from the chat to the image generator, performs well below the current standard.

  • Best for: Users specifically seeking an unfiltered chat experience with zero content restrictions.
  • Not ideal for: Anyone wanting a large character selection, high-quality images/voices, or a natural, engaging conversational partner.
  • Free plan: Yes, but extremely limited. You can browse characters and send only 6 total messages.
  • Starting price: €19.95/month (or €6.65/month billed annually).
  • My rating: 1.5/5

Testing Summary

I tested HeraHaven over several days to evaluate everything a new user would encounter. My hands-on process covered:

  • Creating an account and thoroughly exploring the free tier.
  • Subscribing to the monthly premium plan unlocks all features.
  • Chatting with multiple pre-made characters and pushing conversational boundaries.
  • Testing the image generator with both SFW and NSFW prompts.
  • Creating a custom AI girlfriend from scratch.
  • Experimenting with voice messages.
  • Testing the subscription cancellation and account deletion process.
  • Searching for an active user community or support channels.

This end-to-end testing gave me clear insight into why the app feels stagnant and who, if anyone, might still find value in it.

What Is HeraHaven?

HeraHaven is an AI girlfriend platform that lets you chat with a selection of pre-made characters or design your own.

HeraHaven Interface

Beyond text, you can generate images of your companion and exchange voice messages, though these features require a separate in-app currency called Luna tokens.

Based on my testing, it seems to have seen little active development recently, positioning it more as a legacy option in a now-crowded market.

I created my account curious to see if this older app had any hidden strengths or if it had simply been left behind. Here's what I found.

What I Liked About It

  • No Chat Filters: To my surprise, the app has absolutely zero content filtering. I was able to explore any scenario I typed, no matter how extreme, without any warnings or blocks.
  • Smooth Subscription & Cancellation: The payment process was secure and discreet (my card showed "HeraHelp.com"). More importantly, cancelling my plan and even deleting my entire account was straightforward with no hidden hurdles.

What I Didn't Like

  • Tiny, Stale Library: With only 28 realistic girls, 13 anime girls, and 9 boyfriends, this is the smallest character selection I've seen.
  • Artificial & Compliant Chat: The AI responses felt scripted and unnatural. The characters were overly agreeable, simply telling me what I wanted to hear without any believable personality or conversational flow.
  • Very Poor Image Generation: Generated images have a low-quality, obvious AI look. Character consistency is non-existent, and attempts at NSFW content resulted in distorted, morphing body parts.
  • Flat, Robotic Voice Messages: Converting text to speech produces voice audio with no emotion, tone shifts, or expressiveness. It sounds like a very basic text-to-speech engine.
  • Extremely Limiting Free Tier: The free plan only allows you to send 6 total messages before hitting a paywall. You can't generate images or do anything meaningful to evaluate the app.

Exploring the Free Plan

Signing up is free and quick, but that's where the generosity ends. You can scroll through the entire (small) character library, view profile pictures, and read their short bios. You can also see the list of pre-written scenarios for each character.

HeraHaven Paywall

The paywall hits immediately when you try to actually interact. You are limited to sending only 6 messages in total across any chats. I started a scenario and was cut off after a brief exchange. You cannot generate any images or use voice features for free. It's a glorified demo that makes it very hard to judge if the paid experience is worth it.

Upgrading to a Paid Plan

The lack of a meaningful trial is the app's biggest barrier. To properly test anything, I had to subscribe. I chose the €19.95 monthly plan (a €6.65/month annual plan is also available).

HeraHaven bank statement

The checkout was smooth and used a secure card processor. My statement showed the discreet descriptor "HeraHelp.com." Upon payment, my account was instantly upgraded, and I received my monthly allowance of 500 Luna tokens.

Tested Features

1. HeraHaven Characters

The library is just small. You choose from 28 realistic girls, 13 anime-style girls, or 9 male boyfriend characters.

Each has a static profile picture and a short bio. You can't interact with them or see sample chats before committing. Compared to other platforms, it feels barebones and offers very little inspiration.

HeraHaven Characters

Bottom line: The character selection is the most limited I've tested, offering minimal choice and no way to preview chemistry.

2. Chatting

All chats begin by picking a predefined scenario (e.g., "You booked me as your private hostess"). This sets an immediate context but also boxes in the conversation.

HeraHaven chat scenarios

I found the AI responses to be compliant but deeply unnatural. The language felt stiff and artificial, lacking the nuance and personality of better models.

The only standout feature was the complete absence of a content filter, allowing for unrestricted roleplay that most other apps block.

Bottom line: The chat is scenario-driven but feels artificial and unengaging, though its total lack of filters is a unique (if niche) selling point.

3. Generating Images

This was a major disappointment. The generator lets you select a character, describe a pose/background, choose an outfit, and add a custom prompt. Images take about 15 seconds to generate, but have a low resolution and unmistakably AI look.

Worst of all, the generator cannot maintain character consistency; the same girl looked completely different in each picture.

NSFW attempts were even worse, producing distorted and morphing anatomy.

Bottom line: A very subpar image generator that fails at both quality and consistency, especially compared to current competitors.

4. Voice Messages

You can convert any chat message into a voice note for 1 Luna token.

While different characters do have unique voices, the quality is poor. The delivery is completely flat, robotic, and devoid of any emotional expression, making it feel less intimate than just reading the text.

Bottom line: A bare-bones feature with disappointing audio quality that adds little to the experience.

5. Creating a Custom AI Girlfriend

The creator has a decent set of options: gender, style, age, ethnicity, and physical attributes like hair, body type, and proportions. You then define personality and relationship dynamics.

The problem is in the execution. The image generator for your custom character is the same low-quality one used elsewhere.

I tried creating a curvy Latina in her 20s and regenerated the image three times, but the results never matched the description, looking either much older or not of the specified ethnicity.

Bottom line: The customization tools are adequate, but the broken image generator makes it impossible to create a companion that looks how you envision.

Cost & Pricing

Subscription Plans

HeraHaven offers a single premium plan with two billing cycles:

  • Monthly Plan: €19.95 per month.
  • Annual Plan: €79.80 billed annually (works out to €6.65/month).

The premium plan includes unlimited texting, the ability to receive pictures, send/receive voice messages, and a monthly bonus of 500 Luna tokens.

Luna Tokens

Luna tokens are required for all media features. You get 500 per month with your subscription, but you can buy more. Here’s the cost breakdown:

  • Turn a text message into voice: 1 Luna
  • Generate a Picture: 7 Luna
  • Create a Character: 15 Luna

Additional token packs are:

  • Lunar Breeze: 200 Tokens for $10.95
  • Lunar Odyssey: 800 Tokens for $29.95
  • Lunar Harmony: 1600 Tokens for $49.95
  • Lunar Eclipse: 3600 Tokens for $99.95

With your monthly 500 Luna, you could generate about 71 images or create 33 custom characters. Given the poor quality of these features, however, it’s hard to feel you’re getting good value.

Community & Support

I found no active community for HeraHaven. There is no visible Discord server, subreddit, or even a Trustpilot page where users gather or leave reviews.

Who Should Use HeraHaven?

  • Good for: A very specific user who prioritizes completely unfiltered, no-holds-barred chat scenarios above all else, including conversation quality, visual appeal, and community.
  • Not good for: Users who want a large selection of characters, high-quality generated images or voices, natural and engaging conversation, a sense of an actively developed app, or any form of user community.

Final Verdict

HeraHaven is a difficult app to recommend. While it offers a rare completely unfiltered chat experience, that single pro is drowned out by a sea of cons: tiny selection, artificial dialogue, broken image generation, and robotic voices. It feels like an app that has been left behind, with no updates or community to suggest a future.

Unless you have a very specific need for unrestricted roleplay and care about nothing else, your time and money are better spent on virtually any other modern AI girlfriend platform.
