What I Liked

• Transparent Chat Memory: The app tells you exactly how many messages the AI will remember (e.g., 100, 200, 800), so you know what you're paying for with different models.

For each character, you can see a brief bio and a few SFW preview images. The app clearly hints that more explicit content is locked behind a paywall.

You can start a chat with any character. I chose Yuri, "my girlfriend's mother," and the conversation began with a short video and a steamy kitchen scenario.

The chat quality was good, but the free trial ends abruptly after just 10 messages. That's it.

You cannot create a custom companion, generate images, or do anything else. It’s a very standard, bare-bones trial designed purely to get you to subscribe.

The upgrade process itself was smooth. I chose the monthly Premium plan at $11.99, which gave me unlimited messages and 100 Dream Coins to start testing images and voice features.

Chatting

This is where My Dream Companion truly shines. Before you even say hello, you can customize everything. You pick between Roleplay and Texting modes, select an AI model (Lite, Pro, Genius), and, most importantly, set the Initiative Level.

I set it to max while chatting with my girl Yuri, and she immediately took charge of the steamy scenario.

You also control the AI's memory, with clear caps like 100 or 800 messages. An auto-memory log summarizes key facts every 20 messages to help with long-term recall.

My main caveat is cost: using the top-tier "Genius" model costs 5 Dream Coins per message, which can drain your wallet fast if you're not careful.

Bottom line: The chat experience is incredibly well thought-out and can be tailored for quick flings or long-term relationships, but watch the coin costs when using advanced memory.

Generating Images

The image generator is well-designed. You pick a character, describe a pose, choose an outfit and style (Realistic, Anime, etc.), and add a custom prompt. Generation is fast, taking about 5 seconds per image.

However, I was disappointed by the output. When I generated two images of Yuri in a bikini on a beach, the character looked different in each picture, lacking consistency.

Even on the Realistic style setting, the images had an obvious, overly smooth AI aesthetic, and changing styles sometimes completely altered the character's face.

For example: these are the pictures of the same Yuri character using Amateur Plus style.

Bottom line: The tool is easy to use but produces inconsistent and sometimes artificial-looking results that can break immersion.

Generating Videos

Video generation uses the same interface as images, with the option for a 5-second (23 coins) or 10-second (43 coins) clip.

The generation took about a minute for a 5-second video. The motion was natural and glitch-free, and the videos were good to watch.

However, like with images, adherence to specific settings was hit or miss. In one test, my chosen "doggy style" pose was ignored in the final video.

Bottom line: Video quality is good for quick, fun clips, but don't rely on it to perfectly execute complex scene directions.

Audio & Live Calls

You can turn any text message into an audio clip for 1 coin.

There is also a live call. I called Yuri, and was pleasantly surprised by the voice quality. It sounded expressive and emotionally varied, not flat and robotic like many AI voices.

You choose a style (Realistic/Anime) and then customize age, ethnicity, hair, eyes, body type, and personality.

When I created an athletic Asian woman, the first generated image didn't look Asian at all. But the regeneration feature is excellent. It showed me the AI prompt it used and let me edit it directly. After tweaking, I got a result that matched my vision perfectly.
