On Lovescape, I built a Latina character with specific physical traits. The first version didn’t look right, but I regenerated, and the second matched what I had in mind. The appearance options are extensive: ethnicity, hair, body shape, and more.

Shy characters stayed shy. Personas held across the conversation in a way that felt more deliberate. The memory held through 10–20 messages in my testing, though Trustpilot reviews flag that longer sessions can cause resets.

Verdict: Candy AI’s chat quality felt more considered. Lovescape’s felt more immediately gratifying.

Image Generation

Lovescape gives you full control: pick a pose, style, background, outfit, and write a custom prompt on top. I tested two models — SDXL generated in about 3 seconds but produced inconsistent results, while Flux.1 kept faces more stable though body proportions occasionally went off.

Candy AI has no standalone image generator. The “Show Me” feature generates an image based on what’s happening in chat, which sounds clever until you’re mid-argument and get a topless bedroom scene that has nothing to do with your conversation. That said, the output quality is noticeably better: realistic, consistent faces, and genuinely hard to identify as AI.

Final Verdict

The tradeoff is inconsistency — image generation is hit-or-miss, characters jump to explicit content too fast for my taste, and the personality customization is thin.

Candy AI is the tighter product. The chat personas hold. The images and videos are the most realistic I’ve seen in this category. The audio calls felt surprisingly human.
