The math here gets uncomfortable quickly. At 4 tokens per image, your 100 monthly tokens get you 25 images, or about 8 videos (at 12 tokens each for a 5-second clip).

Unlocking private content bundles costs 200–400 tokens. I spent 200 tokens on one bundle from Irina, which converted to roughly $20 USD. That’s steep for a handful of images and videos.

For light users, Candy AI’s annual plan at €3.99/month is hard to beat on paper. But the moment you start generating images or making calls regularly, you’re buying top-up tokens and the costs compound.

Secrets AI is genuinely generous here. 20 messages per day and actual image generation on a free account is rare. I browsed the full character library, created a custom character (Rosalinda turned out great), and generated 4 images before my 200 free moments ran out. The limitation is that once moments are gone, you’re done.

Candy AI’s free tier is more of a preview than a product. Five messages total before hitting the paywall. I got one good conversation with Isabella going before it cut me off, and while that was enough to hook me, it wasn’t enough to evaluate anything. The stories feed is viewable for free, which is a nice touch, but actual functionality requires subscribing.

Chatting & Roleplay Quality

On Secrets AI, I chatted with Megan (25, Copenhagen) and Kenzie (small-town Nashville girl). Both moved fast. Within five messages, we were heading somewhere explicit.

The chat is well-designed: responses come with a brief realistic delay, and girls send multiple short messages that genuinely feel like texting. Memory worked. Kenzie remembered my address ten messages later.

The “Premium” model is near-instant but looser with the prompt and supposedly better for NSFW, though in practice, explicit content consistently failed: limbs appeared where they shouldn’t, underwear materialized mid-generation, or the prompt was simply ignored.

On Candy AI, I couldn’t find a standalone image generator. Everything goes through the “show me the scene” feature in chat, which generates based on what’s happening in the conversation

Verdict: Candy AI for quality and realism. Secrets AI if you need to write your own prompts.

Video Generation

Secrets AI turns a generated image into a video with a text prompt describing the action. Generation takes about two minutes for an 8-second clip. The motion felt slow and unnatural in my testing, and explicit video content ran into the same walls as images.

Candy AI generates video either from an existing image or directly from the chat. A 5-second clip takes about 15 seconds; longer clips (up to 55 seconds) are available but cost up to 80 tokens, nearly your entire monthly allowance. The quality was noticeably better: natural motion, realistic output, no artifacts in any clip I generated

Memory & Continuity

Secrets AI handled in-session memory well in my testing. Kenzie remembered my address multiple messages later without being prompted. The chat visualizer feature (which generates an image of what’s happening in the chat) is a nice concept but doesn’t handle explicit scenarios well at all. During one session where the roleplay got specific, it generated a completely unrelated image.

Candy AI’s memory also performed well in my own testing. Isabella tracked context 10–20 messages back without issues. But Trustpilot reviews tell a different story for longer sessions: multiple users report characters resetting mid-conversation, reverting to earlier personality states after extended roleplay. On Secrets AI, the audio call quality was genuinely good. Emotional range, natural tone, adapts to the conversation topic. The text-to-speech feature for individual chat messages is a different story: it uses what sounds like a separate, flatter model with no expressiveness. The gap between the two is noticeable and a bit jarring.

On Candy AI, both the TTS and the audio calls impressed me. The call with one character involved actual giggling, smiling-through-speech, and emotional shifts that felt natural. The voice quality is top-tier for this category. The caveat: at 3 tokens per minute, your 100 monthly tokens gives you roughly 33 minutes of call time before you’re paying for more.

Verdict: Tie on quality. Candy AI’s token cost for calls is a real constraint; Secrets AI’s TTS inconsistency is annoying but the call quality holds up.

Privacy & Billing

Secrets AI claims to use discreet checkout. My debit card statement showed “Secrets AI” which is not discreet. The checkout itself was secure and smooth, and you can also pay with Apple Pay.

Candy AI’s bank statement showed “EverAI Limited” which is genuinely discreet, no mention of the app name. Same Apple Pay option available. They also delete your chats, images, and videos automatically when your subscription ends, which is either reassuring or inconvenient depending on your perspective.

Cancellation on both platforms is simple. Secrets AI lets you delete all your data manually through profile settings. Candy AI handles it automatically on expiry.

For someone who wants to direct the experience, it’s the more flexible tool. But flexibility doesn’t always produce better results, and in this case it often doesn’t. The explicit image generation was inconsistent throughout my testing, the video motion felt mechanical, and every character escalated at roughly the same pace. After a while, that predictability flattens the experience.

Candy AI is a tighter, more finished product. The character personas hold in ways that Secrets AI’s don’t. The image quality is genuinely impressive.
